Our office will contact your mortgage lender and submit your application to them. We will inform you if we receive a request from your lender, as to any additional docs or information they may need, in order for your application to have the best chance of obtaining an approval.
Your mortgage lender will notify you by mail, usually between 14 to 30 days of submitting your application, the status of your mortgage modification request. They may ask for additional documents, such as copies of your most recent paystubs.
Once your mortgage modification is approved, your lender may instruct you to send them a monthly trial payment each month for up to 3 to 6 months in order to make your new mortgage payment permanent.
If you make all of your trial payments on time, a lender will usually make the agreement permanent and your mortgage will be considered up to date in good status.
They will report to the credit bureaus that your mortgage is now up to date.
